How Recticel uses eBVD
We interviewed Hannes Mettler, Technical Manager at Recticel Insulation, about how they use eBVD,
What is your role at Recticel?
I work as a Technical Manager at Recticel Insulation. My role includes providing technical support and project assistance, supporting the market in areas such as building technology, fire safety, moisture, and sustainability.
As we advance circular initiatives, such as our investment in recycled polyol, the link between technical performance and environmental data becomes increasingly important. Part of my role is therefore to ensure that our solutions not only meet technical requirements but also contribute to reduced climate impact in a verifiable way.
How do you use the eBVD system?
We use eBVD to ensure that accurate and up-to-date environmental information is easily accessible to designers, contractors, and property owners.
For example, when we integrate recycled raw materials into our production, it is crucial that these changes are also reflected in our documentation. eBVD helps us communicate these improvements in a structured and transparent way.
How do you view the future with eBVD?
Recticel has a clear sustainability vision in which circularity, transparency, and reliable environmental data are central elements. For us, it is important that our products meet both current and future market requirements, which is why we choose relevant systems, labels, and certifications.
We see eBVD as a key tool for simplifying and standardizing digital environmental information in the construction sector. It enables stakeholders to make well-informed decisions and feel confident when choosing solutions from us.
